so summer is dangerously close. looming even. on the brink of summer as we are. its hard to figure out what to wear sometimes. it'll be summer most of the day, except say lunch time. so you'd be fine like 80% of the day in summer atire, but then you couldn't go outside at lunch for fear of being drenched all day and miserable at work. so the obvious solution is bringing more to wear. but cuz you live here in this weather predicament you probably ride your bike to work. and you always want to bring as little with you so you dont have to lug it up those four hills on your way in the morning. hmmm get to work extra tired and miserable, right for the start of the day? or wait till noon for the misery and be cold and wet all day long? its not like a rain coat is really all that heavy. and then again it might just rain all day.

hmm so its sunday morning at like 1 something right. what now. well i just saw starwars episode one again. really it just makes me want to make my own sci fi, well epic super glalactic space waring sagas. my ideas of the ultimate spacefaring warrior are so much more whole. i want scenes to be meticulous (though i'm sure every moment of starwars has been combed over and over, but they still seem to miss stuff like luke's light saber in the snow monster cave from epidose 5) every lazer blast accounted for. the epic cosmic warrior is rushing to the loved one's side, but the enemy gets there first. one lazer bolt flies at the warrior, he dances around it effortlessly. the next blast is already hastening toward the one to protect. flooding across the room our hero dashes the lazer bolt aside. in a blink the gun and its trigger puller are cut down the middle. the hero's powers are invisible like 70% of the universe. his sword can only be seen when it clashes. he's actually a calm zen master. his dialog is simple and unintrusive, unconditional. he speaks in taoist poems. i need to start making these, animation and all.

so so i've been making a card game for a good few years now. its been playable at various stages, right now not so much. but thats because its undergone a radical change entering this most recent interation. i think its at version, oh golly, 5 maybe 6. actuall this maybe on only version 2. so version zero encompasses all the creature magic card game ideas i worked on lets say before high school. the kid projects that never seemed to have the legitimacy to go as far as they could. i saw the professional card games, magic, pokemon, yugioh etc. as unattainable. like i couldn't make anything that worked that seamlessly or something.the first version of this card game that was really playable was about 4 years ago. it went through a few versions, but all the changes were really just refining and re-understanding what that first deck tried for.in its most polished version 10 cards were made from an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, 5 by 2. some had an image of the spell, some didn't. its still the deck i play with.while i was working on refining the language and simplicity of the cards i was using i still wanted a totally symbolic language to work with. so that once you saw a symbol there was no mistaking what the card meant. you could also understand what a card did from a much greater distance, depending on how clear the symbols were.it would force the card smith (card making person) to be able to break her/his card idea down into standardized symbolic language. hopefully once you understood how to play the game this process would be apparent. and i've made some tutorials as well.i tried a bunch of different arrow and symbol, diagram based ways at this. none were very successful. though i think that path still has hope.the idea i had pretty recently was to super simplify things. and require a bit more of the player. the idea was to use filled and empty to represent the flow of energy and have clusters of filled and empty space of different sizes mean the various quantities and actions that happen during a game. these card were also supposed to work a lot like rom. you don't alter these cards during a game but take the number into your head and play with them against your opponent on this abstracted level of the card game reality.

these are the super alpha-not-even-playable cards that i'm working on now. i'm not really sure what meaning all the filled and empty circles are going to have. but be sure it'll be profound and meaning filled.

well so its pretty exciting when you eat a marshmellow.
yeah.. seaweed is good to eat. it had lots of valuable iodine in it. and it tastes so good wrapped around rice. or torn up over soup. or just by itself (its kinda like eating delicious green paper).
soo kirby super star ultra is just about my favorite game. its got a good learning curve, its super fast. the music is hyper upbeat retro reflashed remixes. and the game is littered with juicy cut scenes. the bottom screen on the ds even gets some good uses. simple but exciting.
i am also dieing to make my ds into a code box. i already have the necessary tools to run homebrew code on my ds. and i already have the makings of the dev platoform. i just have to put it all together and figure out how it works. but then it'll be so sweet.

sometimes when things get all hectic its good to just chill, focus your energy, and burst out into the next energy level!

anyway. its nice to have my retro gaming setup going. well not that retro, but at least the stuff i grew up around, n64 and gamecube, for consoles. so actually not all the complete, a ps2 would round that out nicely. for nintendo handhelds i'm only missing the gameboy color. and my gameboy needs a new screen.

but what the world really needs is a roving zeppelin society. kids all born atmospheres high, gardening and cooking and dancing in a floating herd of air boats.

now its getting colder again. it was gettin pretty nice there for a few days. but the rain does make the beautiful abundant plant life we enjoy around us possible. i just can't believe what a wimp i've become. back on the east coast, where we have real seasons, there was still a foot of snow on the ground in april. and now light rain and a breeze is cold. hmm.

anywey i think i should start selling t-shirts, well and get the store of mine up and going already.

so things move along in life. i'm almost done with my massage training(well i'm in my 4th of 5 semesters). summer is practically upon us. and i'm still dying for a fully functional, self-programable handheld computer. i'm with att so the android options i have are limited to the atrocious moto backflip. guess i'll just keep waiting for something wonderful and capable. god i just wish my itouch hadn't died. i romantically thought it would live till the end of time it seemed so hardy. well all things must die. but it does still have lots of good parts. so maybe i'll be able to mash them together into something awesome. but seems like that's gonna be hard as marble floors.
in other news i'm not so hungry as i was half an hour ago. we didn't have much in the way of food so i figured i'd take some of the frozen shrimp, and grated coconut we have and mix in some oats and sesame oil. then i topped it with black pepper and tumeric. really its not as delicious as it sounds. oh well.
yeah blogging. ok well here's to the hopefully bright future of the handheld (minus any nearby iphads)

again i don't know what to write. sucks. i've missed having a blog. and now nothing to say...
oh well. at least the website works. oh and all the other pages hopefully get done soon. its easy with blogger.
but really i want this to be about something.
like about how i want to be living in floating skyship homes. zeppelins man, and blimps. there should be societies in the sky landing every few months for supplies. whole lives lived miles high.
